​Jayda’s deep voice was low, but it still woke me up. The moon was shining bright, giving us the only illumination in the room, and I stayed in the same spot, listening to his conversation. I didn’t want him to know I was awake yet just incase he wanted to hang up.

​“Whatchu mean you leaving?” he questioned. Even though his voice was deep, he was talking in a soft tone, and hearing a woman’s voice on the other end only made my blood boil. “Damn, right now? Back to Atlanta? I hate how last minute it is. I wanted to see you before you left.”

​Who the fuck?

​Silently, I clenched my teeth as I listened to him let out a flirty laugh. Was he serious? Talking to another bitch in my bed, like I wasn’t lying right beside him?

​“Hell yeah, it’s cool, though. It ain’t the last time we gon’ see each other, so we good.”

​I sat all the way up and glared at him. He had the nerve to be laying there, with a big ass smile on his face, and one arm behind his head. My body heated up with rage as he finished up his call and didn’t even look at me. After that, he turned away and placed his phone on my dresser.

​“Just go back to sleep, Jax. I’m not in the mood.”

​My mouth fell open, shocked that he didn’t even care how mad he’d made me.

​“Who the fuck was that? Was it Tori?”

​He pushed out a deep sigh. “Come on, man. We can talk about it later. Go back to sleep.”

​“No.” I crossed my arms. “Are you and her serious? I mean, y’all gotta be if you talkin’ to her while laying in the bed with me. We literally fucked all night, Jayda. Were you thinking about her?”

​“Jax—”

​“Over there talkin’ in that soft ass voice like the soft nigga you are. Like, how disrespectful can you be? I’d never do something like that to you.”

​He finally turned to look at me. “Nah, you’d just get pregnant by another nigga instead.”

​I cocked my head to the side, still sending daggers his way, and he closed his eyes.

​“Get out,” I said with my voice low.

​His eyes stayed closed while he let out a small laugh.

​“You funny. It’s late as fuck. You ain’t serious.”

​“I’m dead ass serious.” I flipped the blankets off me, then went to flip the light on. I walked around the room, picking his clothes up off the floor then with my free hand, I ripped the covers off him.

​He sucked his teeth and sat up. “This what you want?”

​“Yep.” I nodded.

​He didn’t say anything else as he took his clothes from me and began putting them on. Once he was finished, I walked him to the door and stood there as he pulled it open.

​“You crazy, ma,” he let me know before stepping out into the dark morning. I didn’t care about anything he had to say, so I closed the door and locked it then returned back to my room.
